Yami

Yami is a sweet, curious little guy who is still learning that people are safe. He was found outside a home that had burned down in Los Angeles, so he can understandably be a little cautious when it comes to affection.

But don’t let his shy side fool you—Yami wants to be wherever his person is. He follows his foster all over the house, whether that means playing with the mop while she cleans or sitting nearby supervising while she cleans out the fridge. 😂 He loves pets when he’s relaxing on the couch and will even climb into her lap for cuddles. He’s just not a big fan of being touched or picked up when he isn’t expecting it yet.

We have a feeling Yami is going to be one of those special shy kitties who chooses his person and forms an incredibly close bond with them once he feels safe.

And can we talk about how handsome he’s going to be?! Yami is growing into a gorgeous long-haired black cat with a fluffy coat and a strong, Maine Coon-like face and jawline. He seems to have gotten the looks without the size, though—he’s actually on the smaller side, and even his sister Yuki is bigger than him. 🥹

Yami is great with other cats and does well with a large dog. He would be perfect for someone willing to give him a little patience and let their relationship develop at his pace. In return, we think they’re going to get one very devoted little black shadow. 🖤🐾
